Getting to know Me…..
Fist of all I would like to thank you for coming and checking out the Crochet With Passion Web site. I started this web sight as a way To Inspire and encourage people along their Crochet Journey!
My name is Pamela and crocheting has been a passion my entire adult life. I believe you are never too old to learn something new, and I am always looking for ways to improve my crocheting skill.
I learned to crochet when I was 20 from the book Susan Bates “Learn to Crochet” in 8 easy steps. (for left or right handers). I found the book in a local craft store for $4.00, and so began my life long love of crocheting.
After learning as much as I could on my own, I did a correspondence course through the Craft Yarn Council of America. This course helped polish my crochet skill and unlearn some bad habits that I had formed. When I was done I had a Certification in Instructor and Teacher.
For over twenty years I have been teaching crocheting at several businesses around our community; Our Senior Center, Community College, Hobby Lobby and my home just to name a few. I also developed the skill of repairing vintage crochet pieces (mostly afghans) for people. I love teaching others to crochet and watching as students develop a skill that will last them a life time.
Besides loving to crochet I am a wife to a wonderful husband, a mother of two and a grandmother of seven. My husband who is a Chaplain in our local jail, and I, are active members of our church. We are privileged to work and serve people who suffer with addictions through a faith based discipleship ministry in our local church and jail.
In addition to spending time with my Hubby and family, I enjoy crocheting, reading ( I love my Kindle or listening to audible), hiking, or riding our bicycles and cooking .
God has blessed me with two wonderful children, a boy and a girl who have given me seven beautiful grandchildren.
On this web sight you will discover that I have designed a system to encourage and inspire us to crochet depending on the season and the month. I designed Theme Months. First, I wrote down every possible crochet project and then assigned it a month so that by the years end, you will find you have crochet through several projects.
There will be new posts every Thursday and Friday morning. Saturday is my unplug day: a day of no social media or email. We all need a day away from the computers as much as we enjoyed them.

Please come and join us and feel free to leave comments and post your projects to Crochet with Passion Facebook page (@crochetingwithpassion) or Twitter (@CrochetPassion) as I would love to see and hear about your projects.
Until later keep those hooks flying
