The joy of Starting new Project. I received a kit this month I am really looking forward to not only doing but using.
Annie’s Hook & Needle Club sent the perfect kit for the most romantic month of the year, February. This month kit is the Sedona Shawl, which upon completion I will have a beautiful wrap to wear for a special night with Hubby.
The Kit comes with three skeins of variegated fine yarn in the blend of colors red, purple and green. I will only need to use my own tools of a K crochet hook and tapestry needle.
Everyone will have a choice of either completing knitted or crochet pattern version. I will be choosing to crochet my shawl.
I am really excited about opening this kit and getting started. So I am diligently finishing some crochet bowls I am working on, trying to keep to my rule of no more then three open projects at one time.
Do you have special projects that you created to wear for that special someone in your life? Would love to hear about some of your special memories.
Until next time, Keep those hooks flying.
I also received this kit. I chose to knit it but it is not looking very good. I may rip it apart and crochet. My yarn is very tangled and that makes me very unhappy! I hope changing to crochet(I have more experience at this) will produce a nicer looking project. Love your blogs!

I do not have as much experience with knitting, I know that the crochet one was easy to follow. The yarn is very fine and does tangle easy, especially if your are pulling out. Would love to hear what you thought about the crochet pattern.

As I am crocheting the ends seem to be curving. I have never done a ripple weave before so I don’t know what I am doing wrong. Any advice would be helpful.

Without seeing the project I am guessing. But with my students when we are crocheting a ripple it is usually a mistake at the ends or in tension. I hope this helps.
