I cannot believe that at the end of 2015 I am receiving my 37th kit from Annie’s Hook and Needle club. It seems like only yesterday that I opened my mail box and excitedly took out that first kit of the two scarves (Kit 1: Scarves). After talking to Annie’s yesterday, they informed me that it takes approximately five years to complete the club. (Which could change with the addition of new kits). So I am looking froward to a least two years of what has been, so far, a fun adventure on my crocheting travels.

In addition to posting reviews on the kits, I have tried to post tutorials on all the speciality stitches and techniques required to help with the compilations of each kit. I am hoping you all have found this useful.

2015 ended with a kit that screams winter and snow, it was a Chunky Cowl & Mittens. The kit came with 274 yards of super bulky black and white variegated yarn. To complete the crocheting patterns (there is knitting patterns if you prefer) you will need three hooks sizes, a K, L and N. In addition to a tapestry needle and stitch marker.

The kit is written with a beginner in mind, as the only stitches needed to master are the chain, slip and double crochet.

I am looking forward to crocheting what looks like a fun and relaxing project on a few upcoming winter afternoons.

Until next time, keep those hooks flying.
