In July Annie’s Hook & Needle club sent me the kit; Circular Lapghan. It is a stunning lapghan that would be perfect for over a chair in the living room, or to give to someone in a nursing home who has a favorite chair, or someone spending most of their time sitting in a wheel chair. The Lapghan is a circular afghan that measures 33 inches upon completion.
The kit came with two skeins of chunky blue variegated yarn and two patterns. The knitting one got put aside and I will be working the crocheting one. All I need to get started will be my I hook and a tapestry needle for sewing in my ends.
This is a simple shell pattern, so the only stitches I will need to have mastered is the chain (The Chain Stitch), single crochet (The Single Crochet), and the double crochet (The Double Crochet). The pattern is marked easy, so I am confident the work will go quickly.
Would love to hear about the last item you crocheted for someone in a nursing home. Would love to glean from you any new ideas that you would like to share.
Until next time, keep those hooks flying.
