We are into December and within 19 days of Christmas. My hubby and I put up our Christmas tree last night just in time for this morning visit from the grandchildren. I love seeing their faces when they first walk in and see all the Christmas lights twinkling. With the Christmas music playing and egg nog last night it is beginning to feel like Christmas around our home.
This week has been very eventful for my family resulting in this weeks post being a shorter one than usual as I am limited on time this morning.
The plaid afghan I was working on is all but done. (pictured above) I need to add an edging for the final step. I am spending the morning with my beautiful grandchildren but hoping to finish this afternoon. I have spent most of this week sewing in the 256 ends left mostly from the weaving. I am posting a more detailed review of this pattern next Monday where I will get into more of the details in crocheting this pattern. I am very confident that my daughter and her husband will love this gift.
In addition to the afghan I have the faction scarf, a doily and six bookmarkers completed. With under three weeks before Christmas my crocheting basket will contain the yarn for a basket, a hat and scarf and my December Annie’s Hook & Needle Club kit.
Tomorrow I will be starting this month’s kit from Annie’s Hook & Needle Club, The Sugar and Spice gift set. I would like to have this completed before my next kit arrives on Friday leaving me with two projects. Fortunately all of these projects are quick and easy.
How are your projects coming along? A few of you have mentioned a few great gifts ideas. I would love to hear how your progress is coming with your gifts. Remember also, do not forget about my first “Crochet Along With Me” in January. I will be starting three pillows with detailed tutorials and I have already posted the patterns with a list of materials needed to start the project’s at the first of the year. For those of you who had missed the posts I have included the link. (Introduction) I can not wait to see these three pillows on my living room sofa.
Until next time, keep those hooks flying.
