It is not only Friday it is also forty days until Christmas. Relax, take a deep breath, we still have time to finish our Christmas projects. Remember our plan – to crochet so many rows a day to ensure that we finish our projects. (https://crochetwithpassion.wordpress.com/2013/10/31/crocheting-through-the-holidays-assignment-3/) All you have to worry about is today and to crochet the amount of rows needed to complete your projects in time. After all making a gift for someone should be a pleasurable experience and not stressful, nor forced to meet a dead line experience.

Since last weeks post my life has brought some unexpected events that has prevented be from being as productive as I would like. Still, I know I can use this weekend to get myself back on schedule. It is my desire to have my daughter’s Plaid Winter Afghan (pictured above) finished by the beginner of December. It is an easy pattern, consisting of the chain stitch (The Chain Stitch) and the double crochet (Double Crochet), which allows me to work the filet part quickly. It is my intention to post a picture of that part of the pattern finished by next Friday.

The doily (pictured above) that I started last Thursday is finished. Although this was a non planned project, I am so glad I decided to crochet it. I needed a doily for my end table for my living room and now I will have one in place in time for the holiday company. It was an easy pattern that I actually only worked on for two days, and I really like the color. I will be posting in more detail regarding the process of crocheting it next Monday.

Would love to hear how your projects are coming along. We all know that giving a homemade gift can be so rewarding not only for the recipient but for the giver. If you have not found time to start your projects yet remember that there is still time to crochet a gift or two before the Holidays.

Until next time, keep those hooks flying.
