This was truly a fun pattern to crochet. I worked on this while I helped my daughter with her garage sale. The pattern is marked easy and consisted of chain stitches (The Chain Stitch), slip stitches (Slip Stitch), single crochet (Single Crochet) and double crochet (Double Crochet). The one challenging stitch is the treble crochet decrease.
I started with the coasters since they had very clear instructions. If you would like to practice working rounds this will be a great pattern to start with. One coaster was completed in four rounds. My four year old grandson enjoyed watching me make flowers out of yarn.
The basket was also worked in rounds which also had clear instruction until the very last row. In the last row it was clear where you crochet the stitches around the ring, but how to position the ring afterwards was not. In the picture the ring appears to be at the bottom of the basket, but I was unsure of this for the lack of instructions for positioning the ring so I left it at the top. The appearance still looks good, and I was really pleased with the end results. Based on this one fact I am rating this kit an nine.
I am thinking about keeping this project. Not only because it is so cute, but because my grandchildren like the pretty sunflowers.
Until next week, keep those hooks flying.
Very pretty. The yellow of the sunflower is just the right shade.sometimes yellow is so overpowering.

I joined Annie’s Hook & Needle Club and it was one of the kits that was sent to me. Once you join once a month they mail a kit. You have no control over which kit you receive. It is one of my favorite. My grandchildren love using the sunflower coaster with their cups.

I am sorry but I received this pattern as part of a kit, and because of copy right laws I am unable to share it. It is a beautiful pattern though.
